I bought this combo about a year ago for $299. Very happy with them. This is still a good price.

Very tempted, but my Toro gas trimmer runs great. It has a pull cord, but I use the drill option and starts easily.

Yes, I can do that. Bunches of smart asses on SD. I did not know this was a new model. Doubt it is much different than the one I have though. Being able to change the blade faster is not much of a change. I like mine.

I have however concluded you're talking about something else. String trimmers do not have blades. What did you purchase actually?

The whole system changed in January of 2019. I bought a string trimmer last year for 180ish after sitting at home depot arguing for price match+10% for half an hour. If they had this system even announced at the time I would have bought it instead. That said i wouldn't exchange it for the additional cost at this point since the tool is pretty fantastic.

If you bought the string trimmer I did, the 2725-21HD, then you did not get quik-lok just like I did not get quik-lok. I bought a hedge trimmer for 10 bucks off someone in my neighborhood, but it's corded so at some point I'll want to make a change just like the 50 dollar blower I bought. However what's relevant here is the key difference between what you and I bought, and what was posted here. The key difference is the attachment system. This assumes you misspoke about a blade and meant something else.

What you posted is confusing. You spoke from an authoritative place so it does matter what you posted.

if my 40V DeWalt trimmer wasn't still such a beast that lasts forever... i'd jump on the set with the poll saw over the hedge trimmer, far more useful for me.
the "up to" 1hr runtime on a 9Ah battery is somewhat troublesome though...

you don't know what you bought and what this is, but you're being snarky about it...
