First off, it has a cellular & GPS, meaning your phone need not be connected to make and receive phone calls or track location. The cell must be activated at the carrier level but is an option. The GPS will function without cellular activation.

The watch is much faster than our series 0's. The watch is also IPX7 water resistant. Which means you can shower, swim and wash your dishes while without taking off the watch.

My original watch was not Nike branded. That being said, I am much happier with the series 3 Nike version. I am at that age where my eyes aren't what they once were and the Nike has faces not available on the standard version that I really love.

I have a Series 3 GPS (non-Nike) that I paid $300 only 6 months ago. This pricing is a no-brainer. I would definitely have opted for Cellular if I did it again. Being able to leave the phone behind would be great. I leave mine behind and just learned to run without music.

That said, there needs to be a better way to download songs to the watch (just like with iPhone). I don't want to get an Apple music account and start over — I iust want my downloadable Amazon playlist or my personal ripped collection (300 CDs worth)

I purchased one of these about 6 weeks ago to replace an aging series 0. I couldn't be happier with my decision.

Night and day. You can actually use the watch, no lag. But I would try to score a deal for the 44mm s4 - feel like the screen quality and size is a big improvement from s0 42mm.

I had the Series 0 and have had this watch since December. As others have said, night and day difference (sometimes literally). MUCH faster and responsive (apps, touch, and Siri), much brighter screen, waterproof. Plus, obviously, GPS and the optional cellular (both of which I use and both of which make a huge difference; as a runner, I leave my phone at home and listen to streaming music over cellular via my AirPods).

Arguably, what the Series 0 always should have been.

Good deal. If you don't need cellular and have a Costco membership, I got a 42mm Series 3 yesterday for $249.99 in-store.

if you are a runner, Garmin Forerunner 245 by end of April

might want to wait for that, it looks like it's going to be better than everything else

Why this when you can have the 4 for 100 more without tax.

Tax kills this deal
