I came to post this as well. Damn good deal for a 100watt kit. Most are almost double that. I got one for my shed.

Nice price. I've been looking to get started playing around with solar. Too bad this shows out of stock for me.

That "1150 Watt" power kit is so misleading. These panels are also Polycrystalline which are not as efficient as the Monocrystalline ones.

It's a 400 watt solar kit. Adding an inverter does not increase that lol

100% this! I saw this earlier on the other HD deals thread and couldn't believe they were advertising a 400w panel kit and 750w inverter as 1150w system. Thats not at all how it works!

You are confusing efficiency versus power output. A 100 watt panels is a 100 watt panels whether it is poly or mono. Only difference is a slight size difference.

It is like beer versus wine, it takes more beer to have the same amount of alcohol as wine, because they are different strengths. But a defined drink of both will contain the same amount of alcohol.

Hm, considering this kit:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Nature-Power-120-Watt-Portable-Briefcase-Design-Monocrystalline-Silicon-Solar-Panel-55702/205395394

Seems like a decent deal including the charge controller, no?

Nice for the portability and built-in stand.

20W more but appears it has an 8A controller (instead of 11A), for almost double the price.

Hi, thx for the input. I was referring more to the portability, rather than the fact that it's 20w more...

Comparable portable panels (and I think without the controller) are usually around 300ish?
