Pretty good deal. I got a couple of these from Best Buy as part of a black Friday deal for $74.99 for each set. The reason to buy multiple sets instead of getting add on cameras is that the free cloud storage space is limited to the amount of time on each module (7,200 total seconds of video). So the more cameras you have paired to a module (they can pair with up to 10) the less space you'll have for videos for each camera

Add-on cameras are also $69.99 each plus tax. Good deal. Might even be better than the black friday deals.

Extra sync base give you extra storage when you bring it online. Thus, for me I would do the $79.99 for that.

I've had Blink cameras for awhile. They're good cheap cameras. The battery life won't last for 2 years like advertised, unless you rarely if ever get a trigger on said camera. I do wish they would have an option to be powered over ethernet, cause if they're in a high traffic area these will eat thru batteries.

I know I have 3 of the cameras on one sync module but monitor videos usually stay under 30%

If you add another sync module to your account do all cameras show under your app/one login?

Does anyone know if you plugin power in the back can you tell in the app it has battery and hardwired power? Any differences?

Yes batteries will last awhile (not 2 years)..unless they are like never triggered . Nice for a camera where you don't need an outlet/power. Night vision is ok but not stellar.

Yes, they stay under one login.

As for the plugin power, I couldn't tell you, I'm only running off batteries.

1. All sync modules will show under one account and login and each will show its associated cameras. I have 5 sync modules on my account.

2. The camera can't tell if it is hardwired or battery powered unfortunately and you can't specify this in the app unless it was very recently added and I haven't seen it.

3. Most of my camera batteries have lasted nearly 2 years.

Biggest concern with Blink is lack of new products (no new products in 2+ years) and lack of feature updates.

I am really wanting to add home camera platform to my home but I don't know with ecosystem is most robust and complete.

Looking for ecosystem that has cameras that are mostly wireless but can be wire. Ideally battery backup etc.

Also want a system that can me reviewed not just by mobile app but on a desktop via https etc. cloud and on perm rolling recording is a most. on prem to NVR would be nice too.

Can't seem to find an ecosystem to do all that and appear I may need to combine 2 or more vendor and have differ systems and apps.
So question regarding blink:
When you hard wire power would batter power be backup? Or would it run off battery but re-charge by hardwire?

Any thought in charging it off solar?

Just wondering if anyone has used the Lorex wire-free outdoor cams? They seem inexpensive and 1080. I'm sure there must be cons to them as with any other product.
