Seems like good price, was $10 more yesterday. The lowest on eBay currently is $65 so about the same but without the easy return.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I am jealous of everyone having good luck with theirs. I bought the 6.5 amp version a couple of years ago and I am pretty sure it was broke out of the box. It couldn't even cut through twigs. I waited too late to use it and couldn't return it. Ended up tossing it when I moved.

Bought one last time. Such a great product! Cuts through very large stuff. Was blown away by the speed and power. Installed the chain backward the first time. Watch for that

Chain was installed in reverse. Trust me. I thought the same thing. There in an image on the plastic chain cover of the correct chain direction. Not the blade cover. The pinion gear cover

Same. Bought it from Target on a google express deal a few months back for around $65. I've used it three times already to trim trees back that were getting to close to my roof. Chain oil leaks so make sure you put it on top of a piece of cardboard or empty it when done using.
+1. That's the only fault I've found in my Sun Joe, it leaks in storage.

Can this cut through eucalyptus pretty easily?
Anyone know?

How long does a cheap chainsaw like this last generally? I never purchased one before but it would be helpful for me for trimming a big eucalyptus.
Any tips thanks!

I have this chain saw for 2 years now, it's been great, just make sure you take care of it and like any tool it should last. My only complain is that it leaks oil a lot! So once I'm done using it, I pour out the oil back into a bottle to prevent it from leaking oil all over stuff and then I put the saw itself in a plastic bag. Other basic things are keep on eye on the chain tension, check it regularly while using to make sure it doesn't come off or loosen up.

I've been able to cut upto 8 inches with this saw with some patience and going around it. It's great for the price and I like that I can use it as normal saw too.

That's a great deal. I got it for $68 with a google checkout coupon, but that was the lowest price. I used it this past weekend. It worked great, just wish I didn't run out of trees to cut Smilie
Come over and trim my 50 palms in my backyard lol

Anyone get the 2 year extended warranty for $5 or the 3 year for $7? Seems like a good deal. Any thoughts?

I have had this for a couple years. Shortly after it was out of warranty, the on/off button got stuck in the on position. I still use it but I have to unplug it whenever I want to stop sawing then plug in to resume. I'm sure it isn't safe to use it this way, but it's awesome when it works

$54 on Amazon right now.

Edit: Different model the SWJ802E, though I am not sure what the difference is:
https://www.amazon.com/Sun-Joe-SW...way&sr=8-4 [amazon.com]
See it now, 803e is 8.0 amp and 10" blade, while the 802e is 6.5 amp and 8" blade.
Never mind.
802E has a 9 ft reach with a 8" chain... 803 has a 8 ft reach with a 10" chain. So the 803 has a bit bigger cutting blade/chain, with a slightly lower reach (about 6" it would seem overall), and an approx 25% stronger motor.

I got this from homedepot last year. It's so very nice to no longer need a ladder to prune branches. Pruning, 12 ft up, with both feet on the ground feels great, feels safe and makes pruning an almost fun task. The only pain is set and set down of the extension cord but the saw itself is nearly idiot proof and required about 30 seconds of training

Does it come with chain oil or do I need to buy that for the first use? How much oil will I need and is there a more cost effective oil than the SunJoe brand? What are the specs for the oil? Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks
