Seems like good price, was $10 more yesterday. The lowest on eBay currently is $65 so about the same but without the easy return.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Last summer, I used this to help take down some 30-foot African tulip trees growing on my property.

I used the Sun Joe to trim the lower branches for a more predictable fall line. Some of the branches were pretty thick, upwards of 8 inches in diameter. I had to cut from both sides in order to get them down.

I used a larger chain saw to fell the trees.

Then, I used the Sun Joe to trim all the limbs from the downed trees. The Sun Joe sliced and diced the branches into smaller pieces to be hauled away.

That left the clean trunk of the trees to be dispatched by the larger, heavier-duty chain saw.

All in all, I was very happy with how well the Sun Joe worked.

BTW, the job was made much more difficult because of the Little Fire Ants.

I suited up in a Tyvek suit and taped sleeves/gloves and the pants/boots to completely seal them. I used a superfine mesh head gear to protect my head area. I was only able to work a few hours at a time in this get up.

But at least I was able to work without getting bitten.

Note: African tulip trees are very fast growing trees. Their wood is very soft. So, while the Sun Joe easily dispatched the limbs of the African tulip trees, the experience on hardwood trees might be substantially different.

Super!
But note that this is not the convertible version, so you cannot use it as a handheld chain saw.

I think I paid $80 or so on sale and totally worth it. There are two sizes, standard chains.

That's a great deal. I got it for $68 with a google checkout coupon, but that was the lowest price. I used it this past weekend. It worked great, just wish I didn't run out of trees to cut Smilie

Every chain saw will need oil to lube the chain and minimize overheat. Once in a while you either have to sharpen it or replace the chain. Clean up recommended after each use (but who does it).

So what is a more useful getting this one which is a little bigger with multiple cutting angles but doesn't convert to a chainsaw. Or getting the other version which converts to the chainsaw, is 8 inches and doesn't cut at different angles?
