.... but u can get a 65C8 oled for the same cost ...
yes and then you can put it in your basement so there's no light and only use it for movies because any show with logos will burn in. If you don't believe me do a search on you tube for burn in.

Unless most of your TV usage is for gaming, go for LG OLED rather than this one.
actually if you only watch movies in a dark room oled. Normal tv usage or gaming Qled no worries about burn in or low brightness.

I can get the Q90R for $2599 through a discount at my work. This needs to be around $1500 for me to pull the trigger. The Q90r is much better than the Q9FN IMO and worth the $800 difference. Bestbuy also only has floor models or demos left so getting one there brand new will be tough. My local bestbuy sold their demo for $1600, and it had a pretty decent scratch on the back.
What makes q90r much better?

If you watch TV in a bright room primarily, the QLED would look better than OLED.

If you never sit off-angle by much, and/or it's for heavy computer or console use, and/or you have serious light control issues in your room, get this. Otherwise get the LG C8 65".

I woudnt say "much" better, but worth the price difference for me. The processor and the antiglare do it for me alone. If i had to pay retail, I'd probably go the Q9FN route to be honest.

A person that does their homework will know this is no SD...really needs to be under $1500 to be a deal, otherwise go with a C8 on sale...
Yet you still might buy this...

QLEDs are currently better overall performers than OLED. Main factors being the stutter of OLEDs for 24fps content, which happens to be most movies and the fact that they are half as bright as the QLEDs which means much worse HDR performance.

Color volume is also much better for the QLEDs.

Lots of misinformation on the internet spawned from RTINGS terrible interpretation of data and extremely biased methodology.
your 100% wrong and i hope nobody takes your advice... RTINGS is the gold standard for television testing, so there is no "terrible interpretation of data" coming from them....

"color volume"??? are you serious? so the saturated colors that you call "color volume" are a positive??

lastly, HDR stands for high dynamic RANGE... with Range being the key word. brighter does not equate to better range.

if you like bright, saturated colors, or you watch CNN or FOX NEWS for 12hrs a day, then yes get "QLED" over OLED. for 99% of the population who doesnt want or do this the OLED is the way to go.

this was terrible advice given above, and surely sounds like someone who purchased the samsung and is looking for reasons to justify their purchase.

Two drawback I think even in this high end Sammy Q9

(1) Bad viewing angles which is probably true for any VA panel LED TV...OLEDs are much better in that respect

(2) No Dolby Vision

There are pros and cons to each of them. There is no perfect tv, especially not an Oled. Still debating an oled or a vizio quantum x for my living room. I have a c8 in my man cave (and an x900e and a 2019 vizio p). Again, they all have pros and cons.

People that want a C8 OLED should probably look in a C8 OLED thread instead of a Q9FN QLED thread.
