Want to get a Switch console. But, not sure if I should wait and see how much prices drop with the new releases that are supposed to come. Or maybe just buy one used locally. Choices. Hmm...

They wont drop...nintendo releasing a low end and high end model. There would be no point in dropping price of mid tier.

This exactly. Don't expect a price drop. I ended up getting a switch about a month ago and love it. I was always interested, but was content with my xbox. I won it as a prize, and I haven't touched the xbox since getting the switch. Not to say I won't again in the future (Borderlands 3), but I'm just enjoying how different the games are.

And you know this for a fact because of your position within Nintendo, right?
Grow up...i am saying dont expect a price drop from a logistical standpoint. If nintendo is releasing a high/low end model, what is their incentive to price drop their mid tier? If they do any form of price reduction it will not be for many years. Just look at their history before posting.

Sure you are. The only reason for anyonr to wait for a switch right now would be to either get the less expensive lower end model or to spend more for the high end model. If people want the current console, there are plenty of deals floating around 250 so honestly not a big difference.

They've been dropping. See them going new for $250-260 regularly now. I think they will stay around this to clear inventory before the new releases as well. They won't be making this model and concentrate on the 2 new models.

Do you really need to call out when the opinion and speculation were already given?
