Nice deal. You can't get cheaper than $3.50 monthly for an unlimited usenet plan. I have Thundernews, and I found their service to be fantastic.

I totally recommend Thundernews for Usenet, and Windscribe for a VPN.

The best deals I've got for them so far...

USENET: Thundernews unlimited @ $3.50 monthly
VPN: Windscribe @ $15 for 3 year plan (StackSocial deal)

Anyone have a good block account provider they can recommend to compliment a Thundernews subscription?

Wow. I've been on their unlimited plan for a year at least now. I got in on it when it was last $5 a month. It caps out my connection at 45MB.

Anyone know how I'd switch to this from their $5/mo plan? There's no option to upgrade/downgrade, so would I need to cancel my existing plan and just buy a new one?

usenet server access seems pretty cheap these days, but the hard part is finding good nzb readers, etc and software to piece it all together. what's the latest on that?

I signed up for another first just to be safe. Worked perfectly, received a new username and canceled the first.

Alt. Binz, sabnzbd, grabit, etc. The long pole is finding a good indexer.
