The Home Depot is having a 25% off online sale of their Closetmaid Impressions closet system line in white Laminate only. The white Laminate is usually the most expensive color option. I installed a cherry closet system on theirs 4 years ago and it's been great.

I recommend ordering the various parts of the system individually instead of their package systems. This will save your anywhere from $50-$300. I ordered 2 of the standard systems with 6 drawers for $460. If any items show as out of stock, just wait a day and it'll most likely be available. I had to order the closet system on day 1 and the drawers on day 2.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Yes, the rods are adjustable to half width (half the rod sides into the other half). I installed 2 of the narrow systems in a small walk-in 4 years ago.

How did the materials this was made of hold up over the years?

Surprisingly well. My father had always warned me about laminate wood peeling and blistering but we haven't had any such issues in the 4 years we've been using it. It's performed so well that I found this deal while buying another 2 sets for the master bedroom walk-in closet. All we store in our closets are clothes and towels so nothing that will cause any scratching. Honestly, it looks the same as the day I installed it...

You can get an additional 11% rebate if you live near a menards - until 4/13. Rebate Link [homedepotrebates11percent.com]

The catch is you need to buy in store. If your store doesn't have any in stock, like mine, my plan is to order at the customer service desk. You'll need an in store receipt for the rebate.

How do you know which drawers to order for which system?

There is standard, narrow and deluxe systems. The drawers named accordingly as well in their title, it's subtle so read carefully.

ClosetMaids parent company has changed since then so I'm curious what that did to the brand's quality.

I have a 9' wide closet I have been thinking about getting something like this for.

Anyone have experience with this one.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Close.../301046175

Seems to be the only one that is made for a 9' wide closet. What is the quality on these and what if it is an tad oversize, I assume you can cut it down?

Is 25% off this one a good price?

When did the ownership change? I've had mine for about 3 years, still good as new.

The standard and deluxe systems will work for you too. Their titles are incorrect in their width dimension of 25.12", but if you read their description this is the accurate width dimension for them:

"Adjustable to fit closet wall 5 ft. to 10 ft. W"

It'll be cheaper if you buy the system, shelves and drawers separately. and if you're a little handy you can craft your own shelves from laminate board readily available at home Depot for a fraction of the cost of the closetmaid shelves.

A couple of years ago. Emerson Electric sold it off to Griffon Corporation (private equity).
