I would say so. You're not really taking advantage of the X if you're not playing in 4k. This is an easy entry into that. Obviously have tempered expectations. If you have a really top of the line 1080 panel that has all the bells and whistles, it might not be worth it. But middle of the road to below average and yes, this would be a step up.

Yes definitely worth it, specially at this price point. I've had a similar model for 3 years now and I have zero complaints.

Thanks OP. Great deal, if only for the small number of people who will qualify for it.

I would politely suggest that if you are going to post more of these Google Express deals, please put something in the deal title along the lines of "NEW Google Express members", unless you're aware of a coupon that's valid for everyone.

Standard questions I didn't see answers to from google.

4:4:4 ? RGBW? Lag? Standard 4K pc monitor usage questions.

I would assume for as cheap as this is it would be a RGBW panel, right?

Yep. It's just not easy to turn a profit off hardware alone these days. That's why smart TV software is the perfect "trojan horse" for data mining.

At $170, does anyone really think Hisense is making any money off this?

Alexa is listening to everything you say in your home. Google is tracking everything you do online. Facebook is compiling and selling your demographics.

In the information age, spying is just another word for monetizing data. Whataya gonna do?

The world's intelligence agencies are quite appreciative of Facebook.

Of course... the use as a monitor question. Does this work for spreadsheets?
