"...The proposal currently states that those who are eligible for the settlement could be paid up to $400 for their faulty device, while those who received a Pixel XL in a prior warranty exchange program would only be eligible for up to $10. Those who submit proper documentation for the bug will receive the most settlement money, while those without may be eligible for up to $75. For full details on submitting a claim, check out the as-filed longform [scribd.com] notice document, which explains the process that will go into effect following court approval. ..."

This is long overdue. We already got our $425 from a bad 5x. Unfortunately I ditched the 6p on Google as a trade in but at least I have evidence of a battery replacement on my dime that should get me a couple bucks. Google was very foolish to get in bed with a terrible company like Huawei and I hope this teaches them something.
Is it too late for this? Mines was stuck at bootloop but didn't get anything

You needed to he part of the original 5x suit class to get the settlement. This one sounds like you can prevent your proof after the settlement is complete.

Great news for 6p owners, especially being able to submit after the fact. Unfortunately I missed out on the 5x settlement even though I frequent tech blogs daily. Would have loved to get some compensation after dealing with multiple replacements, all with the boot loop issue.

LG nexus 5 X has the same issue. LG let me send in for repair, then told me that it is un-repairable by saying that there was water damage. However, my phone was hardly used and never dropped in water or have water over it!
I also had LG G3 which had screen fading issue. Both phones were hardly used but they did have my data on it and now they were all lost!
Never buy LG again!!!
Same exact thing they said about the Nexus 5x I sent in! They sent it back with no fixes but they also kept the sim card tray. I called them back and they claimed that it was an accessory (they said accessories would not be returned). Like wtf, how am I going to make calls without that in place? A phone case I could understand, but a sim card? I feel like if I had sent it without the sim card, they would have tried to weasle their way out of fixing it anyways.

Do we have a website? I'm sure I can dig up some sort of proof because the battery drain issue gave me such a huge amount of hell. Hopefully chat logs suffice, because they replaced my battery at some point (which also went bad before I bought a new phone).

Hey, I even had an undocumented hardware issue, where the first year of owning the phone left me unable to use slow motion at all and sometimes I'd have to reboot my phone to even access the camera.

We don't have the site to make the claim yet, do we?

Got mine replaced with a Pixel XL via a thread on here due to premature shutoff with sub 40% battery life.

I was a proud galaxy nexus, nexus 4, nexus 5, and nexus 6p owner. my 6p was a great phone, but did suffer some issues after about 2 1/2 years. i did submit a claim and complete a chat with google that went nowhere, but I'm guessing that might serve as proof to help me get some money from this.

I now have a moto G6. I'm bummed google stopped making affordable phones, but certainly glad Motorola is doing what they do now.

As owner of two 6ps with one that bootlooped, I want the time back that I spent heating the phone up with a hair dryer trying to get it out of the bootloop.
I didn't even SEE the 5x settlement until it was done. I went through 6 phones. 6!

Those were definitely the golden years. I had all three devices you mentioned as well as the Nexus 6.

After my experience with the 5x, I never touched another Google device again.

Sounds like the issue was a bootloop then, not relating to the build?

People were absolutely livid when the JerryRigEverything guy put the Nexus 6P on his "Shelf of Shame". Great watch (and his follow-up video too). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTIaUH6PIvo

Can someone TLDR the documents? What do I need to do if I qualify? I still have the old phone in a drawer. It only boot-loops. I can print out receipts and I may even have chat logs with project Fi reps about boot loop an battery issues...
