NU8000, paying for the aesthetics not performance.

Should be noted that different from other TVs in general, this can be mounted to the wall with almost no gap, hidden cables and as earlier posted stated, aesthetics. It sort of blends in and can display art and pictures - which you could do with any TV, but this will actually look pretty subtle. I don't think it's aimed to be a flagship TV with jaw dropping picture quality. It's meant to just kinda be a TV that integrates well without calling too much attention to itself.

I personally like it as a bedroom or kitchen TV. Albeit an expensive one but it does look pretty nice.

It is less if you have unidays account. They are trying to get rid of the 2018 stock before the 2019 comes in.

The 2019 Frames are QLED, if I remember correctly. The retail price for the 2018 and 2019 are the same, but of course the selling price is significantly different. They are trying to get rid of all the 2018s before they start getting the 2019, towards the end of this month.

Chiming in as an owner of the 55" 2018 Frame, we have it in our Dining Room, and I really like this display. Yes the guts are the NU8000, but the no-gap mount included and One Connect box make for a super clean install. Art mode is cool, although we ended up using our own pictures.

Let me know if anyone has any questions on this set.

Eh, it's kind of a uniqe tv in their lineup...

It's more like a 120hz paneled MU7000 with different aesthetics performance wise, it does have VRR though like the 120hz 2018 Samsung tvs. The NU8000 has many notable upgrades over the Frame, including local dimming and gets about twice as bright.

Nothing wrong with paying for the aesthetics, considering a TV takes up a huge space in your home

It's not like other tvs look "Bad". You're essentially paying double the price here for aesthetics which seems like a horrible deal. I mean you can jump up to an E8 from a C8 OLED for a few hundred bucks (picture on glass frame, you're paying for aesthetics), not double the price.

Have you seen a Google Home Hub display pictures? How do you think the Frame compares? Is this brightness/color matching sensor + display doing a good job?

I am so tempted, been looking to get one for a while now. I found a 5% off coupon: PCMAG5 . Also, the 2019 ones are going to be $2,000.

The 2019 are already here, this price has been in for two weeks already at Samsung with Unidays. Samsung just released the new ones a few days ago so it might lower the prices tomorrow. Does anyone ha comments of the ambient mode on the Q8 series vs art mode of the frame?
