Previous price was recently $1679.99 and I saw it drop today 4/12/19. I've been eyeing 75" and larger TVs, but ultimately, I've decided against this particular TV.

This is compatible with the Square Trade Warranty promotion. Pay with your Costco Citi card and get a total of 7 years warranty.

Features:
Purchase 3 Year SquareTrade Warranty ($99.99) and this TV, Receive $100 Off Total Purchase
Motionflow XR960
4K HDR Processor X1
Dynamic Contrast Enhancer
Android TV with Google Assistant Built-in

Buying from Costco as a member comes with a 2 Year Warranty. If you pay with your Citi Costco Card, it adds another 2 years. If you buy the Square Trade Warranty ($100-99.99), it will add 3 additional years.

I saw this TV in person, and it looked ok. Didn't seem too bright, but not sure if it was in the settings. I liked the picture quality, but from a specs perspective, I think this one is edge-lit and I'm looking for full-backlit. I also read in reviews this lacks Dolby Atmos.

I decided against this one for those reasons, but I honestly don't think for my purposes I would really notice any of those above. I'm really tempted by this price and warranty, but I'm holding out a little bit longer to see what other deals come up.

For this price, I'd say yes, it used to be too close to the price of the 75'' X850F for anyone to care, but with this discount, I think people may reevaluate. It's about the same price as a 65'' X850F though, so if you aren't bothered by the size difference, that's a better TV.

And Fry's manager told me today he can get me the Samsung 75RU8000 for $1599. Not sure it's that much of improvement over 75NU8000.

What are the major differences between the Samsung 75RU8000 and the SAMSUNG QN75Q6FN?

I ask because the SAMSUNG QN75Q6FN is $1599+tax at Fry's right now. Went this morning to ask about the 20% coupon and they said they can't apply it to the Q Series TV's.

Thats between the nu8000 and q6. Very marginal difference. The ru8000 may be the best out of the 3 but probably not by much. If they have the nu8000 in stock for less id suggest getting that. It was $1250 2 days ago

I have the brand new released 75X850G (bought from Costco) and I must admit it's got some fantastic colors but it is too dim and the blacks are HORRIBLE! I tried watching the new blade runner the other night in Dolby Vision and the black bars completely faded into the picture they were so lit up. I bring all of this up to say that if this is a step down I can't imagine how bad it must be.

I've been keeping an eye on this tv every time I go to Costco and I did see it was marked down to $1299.99 - seems like a great price with free shipping and the 7 year warranty if one's buy with their Costco Visa. The reviews seem really good on the costco website but I can't find much more outside of that.

I assume this tv would do a good job of upscaling HD cable content as Sony's usually do. I watch mostly HD cable in a bright room. I'm not sure I would worry about it not having dolby vision, etc.
