I think he's saying that his yard is entirely crabgrass.

The battle was lost.

Ok, so you want to kill all growth in between the pavers. Use glyphosate as it will kill all current growth (Amazon : Compare-N-Save Concentrate Grass and Weed Killer, 41-Percent Glyphosate, 1-Gallon). Mix it 1-2 ounces per gallon. Add a few drops of dish soap to the mixture to aid in breaking down the wax-like covering on the leaves so the glyphosate penetrates and help it stick. It will take 1-2 weeks before its effects are noticed. It is a post emergent herbicide also.

Glyphosate is generic Roundup. Yes, you will want a 1-2 gallon pump lawn and garden sprayer to apply (Walmart).

Ironically if your in the northeast, now is the time to put crab crab preventer down. You would stop the crab grass before it come up in the first place.

I put pelletized dithiopyr down last week and may reapply that in another 2 weeks. Will use this should any make it past the dithiopyr treatment.

What's good for killing grass in the stones and in a berm that won't kill the plants and the trees in it?

Are your paver stones spaced apart with grass in between or tight together? If they are tight together with no grass in between then use glyphosate (it will kill grass and weeds). If they are spaced apart with grass in between then use this.

Thanks for your reply. They are flush but the top edges are beveled so they get 1-2cm of soil in there. I wish they were square edges Frown

One more thing, is there a sprayer with a super long nozzle so I don't have to be exposed to this stuff on my skin ?
