Cold Water - The VAST majority of all consumer pressure washers are Cold Water, I have no idea why the title says this - it shouldn't, it makes people think it's somehow different, it's not.

2800 PSI - This is strong enough for virtually everything you'd want to do with a pressure washer from brick and pavement to siding, lawn chairs, fencing both PVC and wood, etc etc etc etc and yes even car rims with a wide nozzle. Just remember, at this high of rate you're getting into serious pressure so it can destroy coating on rims if you're using too narrow of a tip and are too close and it can peel paint so read the instructions and YouTube what you want to pressure wash first until you get the hang of it.

SIMPSON - Makes excellent water pressure washers. I have Troy Built with a Honda motor but idc the rest rather it's good or not and it cost a lot more than this (Granted it has 500 more PSI)

Honda - As a car salesman at a Honda dealership once told me after asking about roadside service, he said "you don't need roadside service, it's a Honda!" That has stuck in my head for nearly an entire decade, I truly hate that salesman and will never buy a Honda car due to him terrorizing my thoughts for life, I have PTSD from that dealership. But Honda motors are 10/10 on power equipment. I LOVE my Honda mower so much, it's the best I've ever used or have seen (EGO is great too). Same with the pressure washer, it starts up great, runs great, sounds great and even after 6+ months of no use and old gas!

Lowes - Don't forget it's easy to find $5-$10 off on their giftcards which stack ontop of ANY discount you get. You can stack a lot of their cards up too (around 33 I believe online, more in the store).

Pressure Washers can BREAK easily - The pump is almost always the first thing to have a catastrophic failure. It's typically due to A) not having water running BEFORE the pressure washer is started and keeping the water going until it's turned off completely (ALWAYS have water going to it when on. B) Misuse as in the pressure washer gets knocked about when wheeling it around.. it's very important to not let anything hit the pump or parts attached to it and always keep it on a flat, dry'ish, CLEAN surface C) corrosion / clogs which are caused A) from putting things like bleach through it (ALWAYS just use pressure washer ready solutions from big box stores or not having proper filtration.

Once your pump has failed, the chances of fixing it are significantly more slim than the motor. Your gun will fail, it likely just needs new rings (Harbor Freight sells entire ring kits, more than you'll ever need for super cheap, many many sizes come in each kit). Your hose will probably only fail if it hits the engine area, if it does that then it melts pretty fast due to the extreme heat.

Just remember to wear shoes, not flip flops, never play around with these because you can blind someone very easily with it, it's not a f'ing joke but once you get used to it - they are fun and very satisfying to use - especially in the hot summer. Enjoy and just remember, they require a lot more TLC than other power equipment.

Good deal! With pressure washers there is zero brand loyalty. None of the rebrands make their own engines or make their own pumps. The only thing they might make is the frame.

So my experience so far has been to find the best deal on a Honda engine with the highest pressure I can get. I personally prefer the GCV190 Honda engine. That's the same engine on my lawnmower that I've owned for over 8 years.

The next thing I look at are accessories and options that come with it. How do they attach and how long is the hose that comes with it. I want a unit that has the most universal connections so I can buy accessories easier.

Thia is with sales tax around $300 . After much research for $40 more on sale (no sales tax free shipping) I consider this generac a much better unit more quality parts. Comes with turbo nozzle and 30ft flex hose.

Can some pressure washer experts weigh in on this?

* Your final shipping amount may update depending on the shipping method you select. Your final taxes may update depending on your geographic location.

That is what it says when I put in my information, at $341 and won't take me any further WITHOUT me giving them my credit card.

Slickdeals shows it's sold for less in the past.

$340... Homedepot is linked for reviews of the pressure washer so you can do your own research. Look I've been eyeing both these models for a long time. If I am dropping $280 on a pressure washer I expect it to last... That said If I find a more quality one for 40 more (no sales tax) then it's a no brainer. Buying cheaper doesnt always make sense if theres a more quailty product out there. I encourage everyone to do there own research and buy what ever fits your budget

I was hoping someone would compare it to the Craftsman that Lowe's is also selling.
https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMA...1000730676
They are both 2800 PSI, 2.3 GPM, good reviews, $279.
Craftsman has a Briggs and Stratton Engine. Simpson has a Honda engine.
Does anyone know if one is better than the other?

Both use axial pumps, triplex pump models are much better but cost 600+.

https://pressurewashr.com/pressure-washer-pumps/

In my research the generac was a better buy for $40 more. The trigger is great (using a pressure washer for hours hurts hand) The quick switch on gun is great feature. The flex hose thats 5ft longer is awesome to not have to untangle. Simpsons nozzles fall out of holder reviews say. Either will do good for home owner.

I have only use a gas power pressure washer. It is some what a pain to use, but it does what it supposed to do. I can't decide if i should hop with electric or gas. My use are cleaning concrete and stucco and windows on the outside of my house.

What's up with the "cold water" addition to "pressure washer" in all these product descriptions? Is the thought that units under $1500 may be confused with a true "hot water pressure washer"?

Hot water pressure washers have special gaskets and seals so they can handle hot water, which basically adds a steam clean like function to a pressure washer, making it more effective against grease and such. Much like the triplex pump models, those are going to cost much more
