Good deal if you can get this with free shipping and no tax, since Samsung EPP price is 675 plus tax! PC Richards is an authorized retailer.

We collect sales tax on shipments in the following states: CT, DC, IL, IN, PA, MD, MA, MI, MN, NC, NY, NJ, NV, SC, OK, RI and WI.

So apparently this is tax free for the CA peeps!

Yeah, but make sure you really want a curved screen first... it really depends on your room configuration and how close you are. Also if it makes you want to puke.. Seriously, I was at a store talking about some TVs and the lady who worked in the department told me that she didn't like the curved because the first time they set one up and she stood in front of it with some motion video playing, she had to go puke...

But I see this is 65 instead of 55 and so definitely this is a big step up in size. (total screen area). I would still not go for a curved, though.

100% correct. I was shopping for big office monitor a month ago, really wanted 32", saw a neat curved LG, came and saw, and puked.

Weird. Never happened to me i already have another 65" nu8500 curved when it first released last year. I also have a samsung 27" curved monitor for pc gaming. I recently bought the costco one i just mentioned for the guest room because the regular price is about 1300 at bestbuy/walmart, so i thought it was a steal for 899 from my original purchase at over 2000+ last year

Has it ever been that low? I personally have not seen it below $800

How does this compare to a TCL series 6 of the same size?

NU8000 has 120hz panel and VRR support but is edge lit. TCL is only a 60hz panel but is brighter and has 90 something FALD zones . You will be playing, and likely losing, the panel lottery with the TCL as they tend to have terrible grey uniformity.

Only seen the 65" as low as $800 for a Fry's one day sale. Happened 2 or 3 times, and only at Fry's. Never below that, there or anywhere else.

$800 was the price point at Microcenter as well. All sold out now though.
