Milorganite Price Match at Local HomeDepot

$5.60

Milorganite is priced at $14.98 @ the local homedepot store. You can pick them up for $5.60 using the FleetFarms site. Even though it may not be local to you.
Below is Home Depot price match policy for in store.
The managers will check zip code and say they can't do it. Based on their policy they actually can.
https://www.homedepot.com/c/PM_New_Lower_Price

Mileage may vary by location/ manager not willing to.
The way to get around it, chat with Home Depot through iMessage and ask if they can price match a product. Send them the link. They will check and verify. Show manager/ CS that HD verified it by their chat.

Copied from chat :
(So it does look like that is a valid match however that item with us is an in store only item. I can only mark down items that can ship. So what you would have to do is print out or bring that link in on your phone to your local store and they can price match that for you upon purchase!)

Have verified images, I'm not sure how to post receipt, GoodLuck.

Milorganite is one of the oldest branded fertilizers on the market. It's composed of heat-dried microbes that have digested the organic matter in wastewater. Milorganite is manufactured by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. The District captures wastewater from the metropolitan Milwaukee area, including local industries such as MillerCoors.

If you live near Eastern Massachusetts, look up Baystate fertilizer in Quincy. $3.50 per 40 lb bag

Can't even think about fertilizing grass with 6" of snow so far on my lawn right now in the middle of April...

Idk what's up with Home Depot but they hate price matching in store. I have to go over their price match with the employee then I have to go over it with the manager. Then their is usually a 2nd manager involved. Its a complete circus.
I don't know what it's like at HD, but I know back when I worked at Walgreens, all price modifications counted toward the stores shrink. It didn't matter if we had to price match our own website, it simply counted towards shrink. And shrink is what corporate really gets on your ass about.

We kept track of price modifications on paper reports and we hand wrote reasons, but that was mostly for local records as back up and watching for trends... More of a loss prevention thing. In the end, we were damned if we did, damned of we didn't.

Was able to get price match a few seasons back but last year they stopped price matching and hard to argue with the manager they just wouldn't budge. Still bought some but didn't throw'er down like I use to. #lcn

I happy you got the deal. I don't think my local HD manager would honor it. They've refused to price match in-store items from their own HD website.

Here's the current text of the Price Match policy:

In other words, they could claim that they will price match that $5.60 per bag price including the shipping from that Fleet Farm store in Minnesota/Wisconsin.

But again, TU for getting the deal.
Currently shows on the website that the fertilizer cannot be shipped.

Doesn't that mean that it not longer fits with HD price match policy?

It's people poop people, PEOPLE POOP!

You couldn't pay me to buy a whole f*cking bag of people poop!!!!

Commercial weed growers - EXCELLENT deal grab it.

the thought of letting my kids and pets frolic on the solid waste of millions of people sounds bad.
Milwaukee is listed as 595,000 people. You sure this is from millions of people and not just several hundred thousand?

Might stop buying it if it gets over a million. Have to draw the line somewhere.

That is when you say I guess a call to Corporate needs to be made. Did that to the Lowe's store manager in Plainville MA wouldn't honor the $1.49 Tide that's been posted many times, I told him you'll be getting a call from the District Manager tomorrow. District Manager called me back after logging complaint....that same manager called me that day, apologized for the mistake, and to come back to make things right.

Has anyone transitioned to Ringer or even Soybean Meal the last year(s) due to the asinine limited availability of Milorganite? Curious about the greening aspects of those compared to the better iron content in Milorganite.

As far as shipping, if it's available to, the iMessage rep can help with that. He could only help with the online price match. Which makes sense.
Based on their policy they will match any Sales ad(minor product limitations), see the post on imgur from page 1. The rep I messaged with checked on it and said it checks out and store could do it. I was able to use this as leverage. At the start Manager pushed back, "so I said to him unfortunately your wrong on the policy, based online, from HD site it says you can match any store, close or not." This product met their match criteria.
Also they tried to go based on zipcode & picture, my response again " you can't go based just on picture, sometimes those are just stock photos."
The best part that saved it was using the imessage for messaging them, that was enough leverage.
The ease of use to talk to them through that is astonishing, more Business's need this.
