Milorganite Price Match at Local HomeDepot

$5.60

Milorganite is priced at $14.98 @ the local homedepot store. You can pick them up for $5.60 using the FleetFarms site. Even though it may not be local to you.
Below is Home Depot price match policy for in store.
The managers will check zip code and say they can't do it. Based on their policy they actually can.
https://www.homedepot.com/c/PM_New_Lower_Price

Mileage may vary by location/ manager not willing to.
The way to get around it, chat with Home Depot through iMessage and ask if they can price match a product. Send them the link. They will check and verify. Show manager/ CS that HD verified it by their chat.

Copied from chat :
(So it does look like that is a valid match however that item with us is an in store only item. I can only mark down items that can ship. So what you would have to do is print out or bring that link in on your phone to your local store and they can price match that for you upon purchase!)

Have verified images, I'm not sure how to post receipt, GoodLuck.

Milorganite is one of the oldest branded fertilizers on the market. It's composed of heat-dried microbes that have digested the organic matter in wastewater. Milorganite is manufactured by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. The District captures wastewater from the metropolitan Milwaukee area, including local industries such as MillerCoors.

The price match requirement states:
Price Match items must be available from competitor to ship to customer's location.
It seems here that the store being matched must be within actual shopping distance

Please read more closely. You only read the "online purchases" part.
Read the paragraph below that for in-store purchases.

You're right, but you need to add complete context. That's for online only purchases.

How the Low Price Guarantee works for online purchases: Our Price Match Guarantee includes the price of the item(s) plus shipping cost. Price Match items must be available from competitor to ship to customer's location. We will only honor requests submitted directly from the person who made the purchase.

"Quoted"

How the Low Price Guarantee works for in-store pre-purchases: If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from any other retailer, we will match the price. Just bring the ad, printout or photo with you to the register for validation. (This may involve the associate contacting the competitor).

That's exactly what it is. You have to call ahead and ask if they have it available, then you pick it up right at the plant. $3.50 per 40 lb bag.

Basically the "sludge" left over from sewage treatment (after bacteria do their thing) is dried in a furnace and VOILA you have fertilizer. So is it direct poop? No (I'd argue that it is), but it's a derivative of poop.

I take it you've used this before? Comparable to milorganite? Same pellets and spreader used?

This was recommended by Grass Daddy on YouTube. I just bought some last week but haven't used it yet. The NPK and iron content is comparable to Milo.

It's people poop people, PEOPLE POOP!

You couldn't pay me to buy a whole f*cking bag of people poop!!!!

Commercial weed growers - EXCELLENT deal grab it.

the thought of letting my kids and pets frolic on the solid waste of millions of people sounds bad.
Biofertilizer is better for your lawn, and your kids.

Do you know how toxic actual fertilizer is? Read the bag.

72 hours is the LEAST amount of time you want fake fertilizer to sit before letting your kids walk on it.

Some interesting articles on Organic Fertilizer and Phosphorus fake fertilizer:

Phosphorus:

Recycled treated sludge:

Tl;dr: Phosphorus is a rare commodity, use recycled phosphorus.

Idk what's up with Home Depot but they hate price matching in store. I have to go over their price match with the employee then I have to go over it with the manager. Then their is usually a 2nd manager involved. Its a complete circus.
Corporate is making it as hard on the customers as possible. That is why I dont shop at HD now. Lowes and Ace Hardware for me.
