Decent deals. 85mm f1.8 is an excellent lens for the price.

I wish we had some more information about the new Samyang/Rokinon AF 85mm f1.4 coming out. Might be willing to pay $150 more than the Sony f1.8 if it lives up to the hype.

Also the same price at B&H and Adorama right now.

Last I saw the 18-135 was selling for 600 on Amazon.

edit: nevermind B&H is selling the same lens for the same price.

85mm is a great portrait lens. I may just get one. Sold my previous copy for other hubbies.

I have a Sony NEX 6, was looking for a good zoom lens for it. These prob wouldn't be good bc they're full frame right? Was eyeing the 18 200

Autofocus will certainly better with native glass. This Sony 85mm 1.8 lens, in particular, is one of the fastest/most silent AF performers for the fe mount. Optically, there really isn't anything to complain about either. In fact, most people prefer the f1.8 to the $1000 more expensive Sony 85mm 1.4 GM due to size/weight/low light af, so really all you are sacrificing is the 2/3 stop aperture difference. FYI Samyang/Rokinon are also known to use cheaper materials in their lenses so buyer beware.

Miniscule discounts (across the board, not just at BuyDig, since Sony plays antitrust hardball) on already overpriced lenses. Can't wait for Sony to get their asses handed to them by competitors.

The margins for Sony lenses and lenses in general are slim. That's why you never see great discounts. The used market is the best place.

How would this do on an a6500? Would it be too zoomed because of the sensor size?

That's naive, and assumes The Sony Corporation struggles to profit. They don't. In fact, they mark up and price gouge through their lenses to make up for reasonably-priced camera bodies.
