From my research (no first hand experience), you're better off getting a shark for less money. It's been a while since I looked, but the sharks were always highly rated, and much cheaper.

Time machine?? Its $10 more.. & FYI not everyone has a Lowes within reasonable commuting distance.. I for instance only have Home Depot & Menards.. To drive to Lowes & back would easily cost me more than $10 in gas not factoring in the rest of the wear & tear costs on my vehicle.

I purchased one of these like 6 years ago and it has a very small capacity. Constantly dumping the canister, cleaning it, and etc. Might work ok for a single person in a small apartment with no animals, but otherwise I would save my money for one of the larger models.
You couldn't have had this for 6 years because this is the 2nd rendition of the "Small Ball" which came out fairly recently - about 15% more powerful suction, the telescoping handle is metal instead of plastic, etc. I only happened to know this because I have the 1st version and was seriously considering getting the newer version for the improvements. I do agree with you that you should just put your money towards the bigger model (which is what I did). The standard size ball is much more powerful than my small-ball and does a better job cleaning thick carpet. I also paid less for the larger ball because it was a "deal of the day" at Best Buy for only $199. Footprint-wise, the larger ball is essentially the same size as the Small Ball.

Yeah but the cyclonic system on a dyson will work better than any shark. I bought a shark rotator once and the motor filter was full of dust that escaped the cyclone within 1 use. My dyson rarely ever needs filters cleaned (the older models actually have the best cyclone performance versus the newer ones). I do like the design of the Sharks but wish that the cyclone system would match a dyson one day😕

Totally agreed. My vac before my Dyson Small-ball was the Shark Rotator Pro. Although it feels like the Shark had way more suction at the hose than the Dyson Small Ball, the Dyson actually captured/retained more of those super duper tiny dust particles from getting back into the air. It actually makes me cringe when I do a side-by-side test - bin of the Dyson contains super tiny dust particles - when you rub it against fingers, it literally feels like powder sugar. The bin in Shark however, doesn't contain any of the powdery-like particles - so I conclude the Shark simply let those micro fine dust particles back into the air.

I just picked up a refurb multifloor 2 for $193 shipped (includes taxes) through a groupon deal that was posted here. Received it last week and works great but only 6 month warranty on refurbs. Maybe I should have waited for this deal.....oh well, too late!
