Was looking for a way to control garage through wifi, even at work.

Most wifi remote doesn't work well with purple learn button but this one seems to work based from the reviewer comments.

$69.98 , clip the coupon $15, and checkout add in code YEDJBEJS to take another $16.80 off.

Hope it helps if anyone is looking for one.

I prefer open-source products as I don't trust what these vendors/apps do behind the scene. I've been using the OpenGarage at my house for 2 years, and at my brother's house for over a year, work really well. Just need to connect the 2 wires from the controller into the garage button, and connect it to my wifi.

I mostly worried about my daughter got locked out in the winter if the keyless entry in front of the garage is out of battery, now she can just connect to wifi and open the garage using her phone. I usually connect to VPN from work, then watch the driveway camera and open the garage as soon as she got off the bus, surprised the bus driver and her friend's parent a few times as they saw the garage automatically opened :-)

The latest firmware have some basic logics: autoclose/notify if left open more than xx minutes, or if still opened after xx o'clock. But I have a bash script on my router interacting with its REST API for more advanced logic.

That one is double the price of this and many other systems and terrible for home automation setups. They charge a $1/month ($10/yr) fee to have it connected to your smart voice activated devices (Google Home/Alexa/Siri) and access IFTTT. Screw Chamberlain for nickel and diming. There are plenty of alternatives that are cheaper for hardware and compatible with far more services without a paywall.

I have been using this for 3 months and happy with it. Only issue I am facing is, i am unable to pair it with google home which I dont care.

Very easy to setup and no subscription required like many smart garage door openers. It also alerts you if you leave the door open for more than 10 minutes.
