Does this have the HBO GO app? Turns out our Sony TV does not have that app, and PS3 stopped supporting it earlier this year. I am hoping to get a stick and use it on the tv. Wifey needs to watch GOT. Got to make her happy. worship
Yes it comes with it I believe. I don't subscribe, but it's on mine. Unless someone else downloaded it. But no matter, it's there and your wifey should be happy!

Is there a reason to buy the 4k version over the 2k version if I don't have a 4k TV? I read a comment in another thread that the 4k stick is the fastest model out but I don't know how fast the 2k version is

This has the latest processor. I have the pendent one which was released in 2017 and it stutters more than I'd like with DirectvNOW and Youtube TV. With this 4k one, I can go all day without any issues. And interface is faster. For a little more I think it's well worth it. Even if you don't use 4K. But you might soon you never know!

The full HD version heats up a lot and restarts occasionally. The 4k version is better on all aspects, better heat sink , latest processor , improved remote , better wifi reception etc . Worth the price difference

I already have a chromecast and roku that work great, so no need for this unless I did want it to steal all the content like most of you do.. I never said that's the ONLY thing it's good for, but it is the reason most of you get it though.. geesh nice rant. laugh out loud

Good.. you have a tricycle, You wont need a car.. Good you have a Pee Shooter, you wont need a gun.. Good you have roku and a chromecast you wont need a TV..

The rant started by you when you accused the folks interested in this deal in piracy. Nope then any one who needs to hook up the security system, Door Bell or home automation obviously is a crook.. It could not be they prefer the ecosystem,, Nope crooks.. All of us.. only the enlightened like yourself shall be the arbiters of the legality of a product...

LAME.. you are SO insinuating this is for pirates only.. Unless you are in all of our homes watching pirated content, you should keep your thoughts to your self.

I have a chromecast, but it is in the junk box for obvious shortfalls like no remote. I have rokus I have traded in to buy this. Roku is not for me. It is only what roku allows. I also had the the power supply's heat up to the point where the wall wart gets soft . I got rid of them all and in a now all Amazon house.

Why, I have half a chance to side load a app that Amazon does not have in its store. I have the ability to install just about anything I want to try in a Fire device. Roku is closed. Closed as tight as a Apple TV.. I prefer configurations I can make over what they allow. Especially since I own the hardware..

I do not understand the SNOBBERY in the comment you made. Either you are saying yours is bigger or better (and we shall agree to disagree on that), or you are accusing the bulk of users of piracy, or atleast a basket full of deplorables..

Does this price not stack with the 20% off? I submitted an old fire stick and got confirmation email but it's not stacking.
I just ordered one with 20% off from trade-in, but they've already received my fire stick 1

Good price if you want it now. The lowest was 2 for $70 back in January. Will see better price in the upcoming prime day.

Was looking to get one for hbo strictly to get the dolby digital soundtrack, but I just found out I get the DD track going through Prime on my Tivo. One less thing I need now.
