This or the Ryobi? If I remember right, Chevron/EGO makes these for Lowe's, but I might be wrong... Maybe they were just making the hand power tools (drills, saws, impacts) etc for Kobalt/Lowe's?

This would be $30 or $40 cheaper with coupons than the Ryobi.

Should be the same, unless your mower was the 80v one.

It's the same battery. I have both. My mower came with a 4.0AH battery compared to this 2.5AH but the extra battery is nice since I also have the trimmer.

Is this trimmer better or the Ryobi 40V one with the swivel handle?

I believe you will actually like this item. I had a friend of mine that has had one for like 3 years and I tried it out one time and was sold. 5 year warranty is not bad either on the unit and 3 year on the battery.

I was looking at this. But I have a 40 volt greenworks pole saw. Rather than yet another battery eco system I can buy their hedge trimmer till only for $56. Any thoughts if there's significant reason why that's a bad idea?

Looks like many other 40V yard tools are on sale right now too. Any of these worth mentioning?

I will bite.
Give to the wife for her birthday. I am sure she will love it and save my extension cords from being cut with the electric one.
Thanks OP
