Would any of these be good for a casual office where half the guys dress like lumberjacks?

I thought Wolverine was premium boots, so the $90 MSRP worries me...

Had a pair of $90 wolverines. You get what you pay for. Might be fine for the office, but they weren't waterproof, and the soles melted to nothing after one time on hot asphalt. Have had a pair of timberland pros for 2 years. The waterproof membrane has ripped so not completely waterproof, but have held up to the abuse of construction. The last pair for $98 might be good. Really thinking about picking up a pair of them.

Wolverine soles suck. They wear down super quick. Comfortable boots but they don't last. I have had decent luck with Cabela's boots and they have a great warranty.

Gotta second Beerguy. My work supplied me with a pair of these. The stitching in the back came loose and the leather began separating after 6 months. They replaced them under warranty, but then the soles on the new pair began cracking and separating after 9 months.

I bought the Moc Toe brown ones. For 50 bucks I'll try them on, if I don't like them I'll return them at the store.

This is absolutely a fact , I wish these were made with Michelin soles and they would be a perfect boot

Considering how many various types of boots and soles they make...

'of these'? there's 5 boots listed up there... they have different soles - which are 'these'?

Keep in mind, the Men's Moc-Toe Size 9M Brown Full-Grain Leather 6 in. Steel Toe Work Boot (What's pictured) does not perform well in rain. Used these for work for about a year and every time I stepped in a puddle, or if rain was present, it'd get my socks wetter than a woman meeting Chris Hemsworth. Hope this helps!

Gotta get Gore-Tex if you want to have dry feet. Never had wet feet with anything that was Gore-Tex. And although the new Cabela's branded boots don't have Gore-Tex anymore they have their own version, my feet have yet to get wet. Just my 2 cents.

Wolverine is a reputable company for shoes. If you're into boots, you'd probably be very familiar with their heritage line of made in USA boots. These unfortunately are imports from China, so the quality isn't that great. Price wise, I'd say that they'd last a good season so it's still a minimal investment if you are in dire need. Otherwise, save up and buy a pair of Thorogoods.
