Anyone have experience on both of these airlines? Haven't flown either in about 10 years. How are they?

I flew Cathay in first LAX-HKG in 2016 and it was incredible. Economy looked similar to other airlines. Better than Chinese airlines, not as nice as Singapore Airlines.

I just flew SFO<> HKG about 2 weeks ago with Cathay Pacific in economy class.

Their service is not as good as it was 10 years ago. But they're still good. For that price I wouldn't complain.

Wish I could've paid this price but it was a last minute flight that I had to work with my work schedule.

Flew both airline before, cathay and hk are both pretty good. But hk airline is in big financial troubles and may go bankrupt, so go with cathay if you can.

cathay is my favorite to fly to hk. not sure about other airlines but if you get hungry mid flight, they offer instant ramen cups haha.

The only thing first and economy have in common is that they take off and land at the same time.
