Got one of these last time. In for another. They are really well built and super handy.

It's well built but works like crap. IF it's charged, which it usually isn't, you still only have a 50/50 chance of it working.

Whats your other option?

Hiring an electrician and paying a few hundred dollars to have an outlet installed in your closet?

I dont have this brand, but i bought a 2 pack of closet lights from a previous deal. The one closet gets used frequently and I probably have to charge it monthly. The other probably every 3 months. Full charge takes less than a day, hardly an inconvenience.

there's this new invention called a light bulb and a switch, though it would take a ton of effort to flip the switch

These things are disappointingly dim, but if you want to light up a closet without access to power, all the options seem to suck. There are battery-powered push button lights that are a tiny bit brighter (300 lumens = 20 watt incandescent), but the chance you would forget to turn them off is high.

I need 800 lumens on a motion detector powered by some kind of battery. But apparently that's not possible with current technology.

This is garbage. Use 8 AA batteries and the motion is horrible. Buy from Costco, usually it's on sale $17/pair

We rent a place. This is perfect. I got one last time the deal was on. It's not the brightest light around, but does the job for closet and an unavoidable dark corridor I encounter on my way to a late night snack run to the kitchen.

No thanks. I'm not trying to know how many ghosts are in my closet tripping the motion sensor
