Ok so as someone who has flat feet and sells shoes for a living some info.

Nike Metcons are made for weight lifting. They have an extremely firm bottom so that when you are under weights the shoe doesn't compress under your lift and injure and/or kill you.

So these are terrible walking shoes for people with neutral gates (not flat feet). They are also awful for people with flat feet like basically every single shoe Nike, Adidas and/or Skechers makes.

If you want to improve your pain levels, back issues etc with flat feet go with shoes designed for them (overpronation). So Asics GT 1000, GT 2000 and the best shoe (also most expensive) Asics Gel Kayano. Brooks also has the GTS series and the beast which is for EXTREME levels of pronation (also a very very heavy shoe). Saucony makes several for overpronators that are more affordable, but the quality is just worse than Brooks or Asics.

I picked up the black/white last night after seeing the 20% Nike coupon posted. Didn't think to post it separately but thought it was a pretty solid price, about as good as you can do locally at an outlet store. Also picked up the Metcon Flyknit 3s for $78 since I was mixed on which I liked better.

Metcon 4 XD in select colors for as low as $76.78 before tax, which is also a very good deal, FYI.

Are you flat footed or just naturally wide? Asking for a friend.

Bought red one last time. Its my go to shoes for gym workout. Not recommending for long distance walk/run/threadmill shoes. I like em better than my AF1 trainer, metcon 3, and metcon dsx flyknit.

I'd vote for a walking shoe. I recently switched over to an appropriate shoe and it made a big difference from the thinner, harder soled metcons.

How do they fit? True to size or should I size up? I have the Metcon 3 and 4s, but I want something with more breathability.
