Damn. I seriously regret paying for my upcoming cruise in full back in January if I knew all these discounted gift cards were going to show up every other week to potentially subsidize it! Didn't see this pattern when I searched months ago (seeing this deal from last year) or I would have held off!

Federal judge threatens to block Carnival cruise ships from US ports Carnival has been on probation as part of a 2017 settlement in which it agreed to pay $40 million for discarding oil illegally in the ocean from Princess Cruises ships and not telling the truth about it to US authorities. Princess Cruises is owned by Carnival.
On Wednesday, US District Judge Patricia Seitz said she'll decide in a hearing in June what action, if any, to take against the cruise line.According to court filings, reported by the Miami Herald, the cruise line "sought to avoid unfavorable findings by preparing ships in advance of court-ordered audits, falsified records, dumped plastic garbage into the ocean and illegally discharged gray water into Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska."

Can use it for any on-board purchases, tips, specialty meals, etc. You could even buy them, apply them to your account in advance, then just have it as on-board credit.

We have a cruise booked for September and have been slowly paying it off with these cards. So far, we've saved an additional $90, not a ton of money, but every $ helps!

Its free money. Just go to the casino and load them onto your pass, then cash out. Or you can leave it on there for any onboard expenses.

Oh wow, you can do that? That would mean free $15 in cash + the 2% cash back you earn from citi double cash mastercard ($4 per gift card).

Yeah, I watched this news as well. If I buy these gift cards, does anyone know what will happen to them if my cruise is cancelled because of this judge?
