Very nice price on a decently spec'd 8th gen i5 with nvme ssd. A pro license upgrade is only 60 bucks and a 3 year warranty is only 80 bucks more. The batteries on these are integrated and if the battery doesn't hold its charge, it'll have a different warranty than for the rest of the laptop hardware.

Anyone know or can guesstimate the battery life on this laptop with general web surfing and video playback. It looks like a smaller battery than other gaming laptops but the U processor is suppose to be using less battery right?

Needs to be an intel i7 for this price and/or have 16gb ram or 2 in one or touchscreen or any combination to be a deal
Agreed 2 in 1 and touchscreen with 16 gigs, I would pay an additional $100 also another $100 if it had pen input and came with one.

Would this be good for Fortnite?
CSGO?

My son keeps bugging about getting a new computer since the latest update last week.

He can run fortnite no more, then again he's been using the family laptop.

He keeps saying the FPS is like 30-50.

Looks like it will play Fortnite reasonable well, but you could possibly get a laptop with a 1050 or 1050ti graphics card for around the same price as this, it will probably be heavier and hotter/noisier but will play the games even better than this.

This is good enough for that, but if the purpose of the computer is mostly just for gaming and not being moved around that often, get a ~$500-$600 gaming laptop with gtx 1050 or get a desktop with ryzen 3 2200g and rx 570 instead. Remember to have at least 8 gb ram (with 3000mhz speed if you are going the desktop route, laptop ram speed can be whatever). This Dell 7580 is only a good deal if you really value look and portability, the other options I mentioned has up to 2x better performance.

I think the premium price is due to the 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe.

Fortnite can be played on a PS4, Xbox One, Switch, iPad and you'd save money instead of having to buy a $600 computer just to play Fortnite.
