Which is the better drive? https://slickdeals.net/f/13018075-sandisk-ssd-plus-1tb-internal-ssd-95-99
The crucial has a 5 year warranty over the 3 year SanDisk warranty. As for the lack of dram on the SanDisk, probably won't ever notice any impact on speeds.

Just what I was looking for, 500gb under $60. It was a little tedious to join, but seemed to work. Thx.

no shipping to Ak/hi, they conveniently tell you that by not letting you select a shipping method after you've signed in and entered all your information - brilliant!

You probably will not actually get Crucial's 5-year warranty here:

1) it's an OEM drive (meaning we lowly consumers are not the original owner, a requirement for the warranty) with no retail packaging;

2) Neither massgenie or AAAWave are authorized e-tailers of Crucial, also a requirement for the warranty:

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/st...ere-to-buy

Crucial's warranty, like most companies, invalidates your warranty once you can't produce a receipt from one of their authorized e-tailers.

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/company-warranty

Nothing against massgenie or AAAWave; I'm sure they're selling good hardware. But for those of us who want to pay more for a 5-year warranty, make sure you're actually getting one.

It's a good price if you don't mind the small gamble of it dying and you wanting a warranty.
