...I've noticed the bitrate when streaming 4K is much higher than it used to be.
It might be interesting if the pricing was based on the bitrate.

Stream it, ~25mbps
Disc, ~50mbps.

Stream 'own', ~$7
Disc own, ~$14 ? (currently $25)

Lmk how your iTunes copy's work out if your internet is out and it can't call home
Oh come on, these types of logistical arguments are ridiculous. You cant argue this while ignoring the possibility of losing or damaging the disc, or the inconvenience and additional cost and headache of a 4k player on more than one tv.

I seriously doubt if someone's internet is out their top priority is going to be getting out a 4K movie to watch.

I've found that redeeming expired digital codes is hit or miss. Just last week, I redeemed an expired code for ParaNorman I got for $5 at Big Lots, and it would only redeem for SD quality. After dealing with both Universal and iTunes customer service, I'm still stuck with the SD version. Maybe I chose the wrong platform to redeem the code...I dunno.

Depends on the movie I think. Most of my newer VUDU movies have full D. Atmos tracks and are near the disc quality. I have a pretty robust setup. Currently running 7.2.2 and they definitely sounds great. Maybe not 100%, but I'd say most are 90+.
I'm running 5.2.4 and set up fairly close to Dolby's Reference recommendation. All the movies I have tried have a significant difference if I had to say percentage wise I would say more like 60-70%.
I would add that in my experience Atmos is only really worth upgrading if you can follow Dolby's Reference recommendations(in ceiling) with a good system.
I felt it fell under more of a gimmick until I heard it set up properly.
I get this is subjective, just my opinion with what I have heard.

Just an FYI, something I found. If you buy Mad Max on Vudu, it will transfer to iTunes and will include the Black and Chrome edition. Vudu will charge you separately, so if you wanted that version and have both platforms, well, you get it free on iTunes even if you purchase it elsewhere

Edit: The version will show up in the "extras" menu on iTunes platform
This sealed the deal for me! I was holding out for a 4K and Black & Chrome versions combo. I verified the Chrome version is available when I view through iTunes after purchasing at Vudu. I can't wait to watch MM B&C for the first time!

I'm forced to use up-firing Atmos speakers and it still sounds great in the right movie. In-ceiling is better, but I don't have that option for now. I'm sure it also depends on the speakers your using and the receiver. I definitely feel it's more than 60% for me personally.

Probably not if the price is the same. It is just easier for me to purchase through Vudu.

The best thing about Mortal Engines was that when it was over, I could go watch a real movie. Utter crap.

Good for you for finishing it. I don't think I made it 30 min before I cut it off.
