Just an FYI, something I found. If you buy Mad Max on Vudu, it will transfer to iTunes and will include the Black and Chrome edition. Vudu will charge you separately, so if you wanted that version and have both platforms, well, you get it free on iTunes even if you purchase it elsewhere

Edit: The version will show up in the "extras" menu on iTunes platform

The Matrix is worth it in 4k. It has a brand new transfer that differs from the 1080p version.

What's even the point of getting 4K copies of things if you're just going to get crappy bitrate starved versions instead of the 4K Blu-ray

Curious about the iTunes upgrade to 4K. Was it just the one time, or will they upgrade you for free any time a movie you purchased in HD becomes available in 4K?

if you purchased a movie in HD on iTunes and then play it on Apple TV it will be upgraded to 4k (if available).

I know this is off topic but thought I would share. If you have any old digital codes for movies that show an old expiration date, they are not expired. Just redeemed Inception on MA yesterday and it showed that the code expired in 2016.
