No. RGB is necessary for your computer to recognize the RAM. If you don't have RGB, your PC may not even boot.

I had these for 3 months and 1 died on me. I never had a memory stick died on me before. FYI. But I do like the look, hope the replacement comes back soon.

I'd like to keep it short. It is mostly marginal; however, we mostly want the lowest timing possible to improve system performance. In addition, we want the highest frequency as possible. This combination works pretty well for AMD, not so much for Intel due to differences in chip architecture.
