I see some but too far away for a likely game of hide and seek to be worthwhile.

Does asking them to scan the barcode help? Never though to do that. (In limited stock or low stock situations)

It did with me. My Walmart had one showing limited stock. At first, I asked for the HP x360 i3 version (they had the i5, and i7 x360 models on display). The lady working there said that if it's not on display, they didn't have it. I knew that wasn't true, so I showed her the barcode to check, and it showed that they had one on hand. She opened the the concealed cabinet under the display i5 and i7 x360 models, and the i3 x360 was sitting there with the clearance tag on it for $199. These were from Black Friday so they weren't ever put on display. If your store shows limited stock, they most likely have it. You just have to get a competent employee willing to look.

Listed as 3 in stock at store near me but no success. All the associate could find were the more expensive models. I helped her look through the locked case and she went in back. It's possible she could've missed them in the stock room.

Brickseek page can generate a barcode. Near UPC you'll see 'View Barcode'

Yes. If I remember correctly, it has 2 slots for DDR4 RAM, 1 M.2 PCIe NVMe slot and a place for the 2.5" hard drive. Very upgradeable! My nephew loves the one he got, and all we did was drop a 500GB M.2 SATA drive into the slot.

Do make sure you "unmarry" (my way of saying it) the Intel Optane memory BEFORE you try to upgrade though. We messed one up by not doing that. Google "Uninstalling Intel Optane Memory," and you'll find some videos.
