Seems to be 349.99 everywhere by me(48083). It's 369.99 on walmart.com so not a crazy discount but good deal.

You're welcome. If you don't really want to pay $349 it seems like Walmart also has the Minecraft 1 TB Xbox One S for $179 in store too. Unfortunately I completely missed out on those as I guess a local store owner bought them out to flip on eBay for $250+. Frown

So confused by Xbox and which one to get. I want to get one for my kid to use with Xbox Live so I really don't need physical games, right? What's the advantage of having physical games if you can access most every game with Xbox Live? Will every Xbox console work with Xbox Live?

I see they've introduced a new Xbox One S All-Digital Edition which will launch on May 7th for $249. No disc drive. But then someone mentioned the Minecraft version for $179.

You should buy the xbox one S minecraft edition. It's cheaper and the physical drive means you can buy used games or games on sale. The advantage of the all digital xbox is that it will have a bigger harddrive, so you can just download and install games onto that, but that isnt worth the premium. Additionally, digital games rarely go on sale and you cannot resell them. If harddrive space becomes an issue with the minecraft version, you can easily buy an external harddrive for cheap and plug it in via the USB port.

The Xbox one X isn't the xbox you should be considering. It is a premium model for people that care about performance and 4K gaming.

There is no value in paying $249 for the all digital bundle. If it's just a console for your son's room defintely go the S route. But don't pay MSRP. If it's going to be your go to hub for a home theater go one X.

Sounds like that Minecraft for $179 is YMMV I don't see it at that price.

I guess my confusion is in how Xbox Live fits in to all of it. I don't want to buy games if I can access them from the Live service which I can get with MS Rewards. But it seems even the cheapest versions come with a physical drive anyway.

Xbox live is to play multiplayer online you also get about 2 games per month for free, you can only access these if you keep the service active, game pass is a different service that gives you access to about 100 games. Each service is $10 a month MSRP but can both be purchased together at a discount.

Wait too long and the XBox 2 will come out. If PS5 is any indication it will be backwards compatible and do everything the XBox 1X does and more.

The Minecraft bundle for $179 is an IN STORE ONLY price I believe. You can check stock for your local store(s) with this link:

The closest one for me is 43 miles away, ONE WAY. Frown

I think you're able to keep the 360 titles they offer from XBL Gold even without the sub. At least that's what my one buddy keeps telling me.
