The 80K mile warranty is only for the Michelin Defender tires (good tires).

Other Michelin tires have much shorter warranties. The Premiere A/S tires are 60K mile warranty tires and you will be lucky to get 30K miles out them. The warranty is pro-rated as well. So if your Michelin tire hits the legal limit (2/32) then you will only get a 50% discount on another set of tires and not free new ones. You also have to pay for the install on the replacement tires.

Just a heads up but the Michelin Premiere A/S tires start out at 8.5/32" of tread so their life is going to be naturally shorter than Defender's that start at 10/32" and some tires like the new Yokohama's I just purchased start at 12/32" of tread.

Just a heads up that Costco will mark your invoice if they see your current tires are unevenly worn at all.

If your new tires need warranty replacement for uneven wear be prepared to show that you fixed any issues that were causing your old tires to wear unevenly and you need to get a rotation done by them (free or need receipts if done elsewhere) every 7,500 miles max or you might have issues with any future warranty claims.

One thing I like about Costco tires is they put a big sticker on the window telling you when you need to get the tires rotated, so you don't lose out on tread life warranty.

By the time you factor in road hazard warranty, installation, and included free rotations/balance, Costco is hard to beat for quality tires.

How long is the wait to get the tires rotated?

You can look around for the Firestone lifetime alignment deals that occasionally pop up. In Los Angeles it's fairly easy to find a place that charges about $50 for a 4 wheel alignment.

YMMV but I'm usually in and out in about 90 minutes. I just do walk ins, no appointment.

Ah ok that makes sense! I buy my tires on Amazon for 60 each but get them installed for 15 a tire at the local tire shop but they don't use a torque wrench. They tighten waaaay too much. Might have to jump over to the Costco tire side

It can be anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour and a half.

It all depends on your location.

Costco does offer appointments now online for the tire center.
