ordered the $5 concentrate as it says 7oz to 1 gallon, so at 32 ounces, that's a bit under 5 gallons of usable stuff for $5 vs 1 gallon at $3.

Cheaper and easier to PREVENT weeds with pregerminates and sparsely use any killer throughout weed season.

For crabgrass, get a good pre-emergent down as soil temps approach 55 degrees, which is right about now (in New England). Search prodiamine 0-0-7 granular. Best stuff you can use. You can also get the smaller jug that mixes as a concentrate. This option is a lot cheaper per application but requires a little more work (need to mix correct ratio and spray entire lawn).

I live in Pacific NW. Tried Weed B Gon(version you attach to hose) for first time back in Nov. Not much of a crabgrass probpem, more for dandelions. Was already getting cold by then so I figured I was too late...but got them cheap so tried anyway. Within a two days the dands were wilting...but I guess I was expecting a little more..death. So I figured it didnt work and said I'd deal with it come Spring. Maybe some pre-emergent. Well, Spring is here and dands are popping up as usual...except totally gone from the areas of yard I had sprayed back in Nov. The diff is obvious. So, that's been a nice surprise. Of course, I know it's an ongoing, multi-pronged effort to keep it under control (lawn health, etc).
