I've been waiting for this specific model/size to pop back up on sale as I have a really small yard that I need to maintain... I saw the sale for the 20" models pop up a few days back, but just noticed this on sale today.

RYOBI 13 in. ONE+ 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Battery Walk Behind Push Lawn Mower - 4.0 Ah Battery/Charger Included

Is a lawn mower for ants?
I was going to get one that my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter could push to make it look like she was helping mow the lawn too. J/k. For those people with smaller yards, this could definitely be plenty for them. I just picked up the Ego 21" for $299, as that better fits my needs.

I think the one for $330 is on sale and normally $400, so the SKU with the extra battery is only $140 more than that normal non-sale price. The battery alone is $150.
This is correct. And I can vouch for that model. 40v has finally arrived and ready for primetime. I have a treated quarter acre yard I cut on one battery running the self-propelled sometimes. Just got in from cutting super thick spring yard with no problems. The second 5 amp hour battery for this is expensive but sometimes you can find a really good deal on a 2.6 amp hour with a tool and a charger for 99 bucks.

Going to be brutally honest on this. I bought another deal on a 40v version of an electric lawn mower. I have an electric car and van and love those so assumed it would be great. I can't finish my front yard even if I mow every few days. I wanted to use it to make my yard look nicer but frankly regret it. It stalls a bunch and since I usually can't finish my front yard I eventually just have to get my riding lawn mower out. I have a riding btw because my front yard is fairly small but my back yard is larger. Anyway unless your a glutton for punishment I'd pass on this. Maybe if your lawn is very very small as well. Hopefully in a few more years with advancement of battery tech but right now it's kind of meh. On the upside its very quiet and since it doesn't weigh much its easy to push

The wider 16" model is also on sale. It's $50 more but comes with an extra battery.

I also have the 40v self propelled but only one battery. I've been eyeing the 5amp standalone but $150 is pretty steep and it never goes on sale. Are any over the other outdoor equipment batteries compatible with this mower? I saw the blower deal recently but already have a B&D I got for free...

Should I get this Husqvarna instead?

I didn't know that micro lawn mowers existed, this looks something that will make sense in Japan to cut the grass around you bonsai.

Something you might be missing is that $99 blower comes with the 40 volt 2.6 amp hour battery and the charger. The second charger can come in real handy when you want to finish your job relatively soon. for me I occasionally needed a second battery to finish my backyard but I did not need a full 5 amp hour so while the 5 amp hour was only $50 more than the 2.6 (with tool and charger), I valued the extra tool and charger more. And by the way that 40v blower rocks.

But to answer your question it would have to be a third party battery which I know nothing about.

Just to clarify my comments right now I'm seeing 299 for the walk behind and 379 for the self-propelled. The self-propelled model is the one I can vouch for and is their top of line.
