I've been waiting for this specific model/size to pop back up on sale as I have a really small yard that I need to maintain... I saw the sale for the 20" models pop up a few days back, but just noticed this on sale today.

RYOBI 13 in. ONE+ 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Battery Walk Behind Push Lawn Mower - 4.0 Ah Battery/Charger Included

The wider 16" model is also on sale. It's $50 more but comes with an extra battery.

Where do you see the extra battery?

This will hopefully work out for me. I have 2 acres and a 60" deck. I usually have about 2" - 14" around the deck, house, trees, and swing set that I usually can't get to on it. The tractor is diesel, so most times, I forget to get gas for the weed wacker. This is perfect for me then, as I already have ryobi power tools and can get those hard to reach places cheaply.

I've got a small front and backyard and have the 16in one and it works perfect. Even feels a little small tbh so this 13in is probably too small for even small yards.

Is this a lawn mower for ants?
Ant hills actually, assuming they don't have a diameter of more than 13".

It's nice to know they finally made a mower that cuts the length of my D.

This looks like it would be fun to make a remote mower out of one of these.

The only reason to get this mower is if you already are invested in the RYOBI 18+ line of tools. (and have a very small yard). It lets you use the batteries you already have. If only buying for yard use, the 40v tools are (I hear) very good and available from many different manufacturers.

I have the 16" version and a smallish suburban yard. I can't imagine using a 13" mower. I already feel like the "16 takes forever. (But I have a lot of RYOBI tools/batteries.).

For the few of us in SoCal that have a small but 'actual' yard, this does qualify for the SoCal AQMD lawn mower exchange rebate. I have an old gas one I haven't touched in years in the backyard so this would be a great replacement, and I get $150 back so my next cost is... kalifornia sales tax.

I have a battery powered Kobolt mower going on my 5th year. I had 2 long run and 2 regular batteries. I am down now to my last battery. If you get 5 years out of these batteries like me you are lucky, and unfortunately they are expensive to replace. Perhaps the battery technology is better now, but I have decided am buying a gas mower to replace my electric one. I liked my electric mower and they are good for some people, but I would not recommend unless they can start guaranteeing battery performance for at least 7 years or so.

But then again, mowers are practically disposable now.
