I find them to have more variety than curiosity stream. Furthermore, curiosity stream charges $12 for 4K content. Here, 4K is included for free
Curiosity charges $70 per year for 4k content... or $10 per month.

How long is it for $3.99? Until you cancel or just for a few months?
I just signed up. The wording sounds like all subsequent billing periods after the free trial

Is this a better deal than usual? I really enjoy edutainment, but not sure if I want to add another payment to what I already pay in physical media, streaming service, and "cable/satellite" services.
Normally 4.99, so your saving $1/month or 20% off Smilie.

Eh what the hell, considering getting rid of directv now anyway....I'll try it and if I don't like it ditch it.

Also couldn't find how many streams you could have at once, anyone else see that?

I suppose I can select a show on Smithsonian Channel (Android) app and cast it to my Samsung TV? If that's not possible, can I cast it on my Chromecast? I won't worry about 4k because neither my TV nor Chromecast supports it.

We (SD) actually added this information to the description later on (they inquired before the deal was written up for the Frontpage). Hope this helps! Smilie

I see 4K content through Smithsonian Channel Android app, under Genre. Web browser doesn't show 4K.
