I have Youtube TV, but I don't see anywhere on the Smithsonian App to enter my account info. They only SIGN IN it has seems to be for a Smithsonian App account only...
Click "Start Free Trial" on the website and then select "Already have Smithsonian Channel through your TV provider?" at the bottom of the window that pops up. Can create a linked Smithsonian app account from there.

Got in on Smithsonian Plus! Favorite channel on TV. Thrilled to support the kind of top-tier educational programming they produce. Such a rare thing these days.

This does not give you 4k. Also, it requires you to pay for a Youtube (orvDish etc) subscription to get this. Also, I think it includes Ads. Can you confirm? The $3.99 has 4K and no ads

Can't confirm because I haven't linked my YTTV account. But that definitely sounds accurate. I'd rather pay the $4.

What about going through Amazon Prime Video? I have that app on my Samsung TV. I also have the Hulu app. Any help would be appreciated. I also have a google play balance which I would like to use up but am not sure if I can buy through google play & still get the discount

In for air disasters. Even though I think most are on YouTube.
Absolutely, part of the reason for me as well.

Does anyone know hot to add the channel to amazing prime? I got my login information from Smithsonian, but when I try to add that channel on prime, it just asked me to sign up again for the trial offer. Is there a place I'm missing to login to an already subscribed user?

You can't do that. You subscribe through Amazon and use their interface or you don't.

WTF. I've been a subscriber for months @ $4.99. And they aren't applying this discount to me, but new members get it for life? What bullshit is this?

In case anyone else is wondering, you can't use the Roku app or many of the other apps to access Smithsonian using your cable login. After much digging I finally found the answer on their site here https://help.smithsonianchannel.c...TV-device-
