Definitely not worth $250 if that's how much it goes for usually. Micro USB port in this day and age should be a deal breaker for most. Just when devices are finally embracing usb-c, buying a phone with a micro USB port will tether you to the past.

$150 with tax is not a bad price, but I'd spend $30 more and get a phone like the Mi A2 that comes with a usb-c port.
The Mi A2 is missing certain LTE bands for AT&T and T-Mobile and has no U.S. warranty. Nice of you to leave that out of the price and then downvote the deal...

Edit: To those of you downvoting my comment, why not suggest a similar smartphone around this price with warranty and full LTE compatibility in the U.S.

For me at least using AT&T and TMO I've found absolutely no drawbacks to these lack of bands, using international phones for the last two years and testing a S9+(every band on the planet haha) I've seen no difference in coverage. Just my two cents. Repped for the find tho.

Which bands are you talking about? I didn't specify in my comment above but I was referring to 12/17. Lots of towers use 12/17. For reference, take a look at Cellmapper [cellmapper.net].

Most int phones I've used have 2, 4, 12, and a few others at least, mostly talking about the overhyped 66 and 71, also the 30s.

Well the Xiaomi Mi A2 I was responding about is missing 12/17 and that's important.

The Samsung A6 is a solid budget phone at $140. Aside from the micro-USB port that everyone seems hyper-focused on, the rest of its specs hold up well against brand name, North American GSM phones around this sale price.

Agreed, the lack of a USB C port will be a killer for many though. It would be for me.

I get that, but we are talking about a $140 Samsung phone and Samsung usually commands inflated prices for the brand name.

A couple of quick question:

(1)
Does it work with Verizon SIM cards?(a seller on Amazon say yes, but I'm very skeptical)

(2)
Does it have the right bands for use when I travel in Europe or Asia?

(3)
Is this single or dual-SIM?

Thanks!

1. Nope. There is a Sprint CDMA model of the A6 but the unlocked, North American model only supports GSM networks (AT&T, T-Mobile). In fact, the only carrier that no model of the A6 supports is Verizon. Amazon's answers section needs to be tossed in the trash. I constantly see false information being spread there by sellers and product owners across all sorts of different items.

2. It really depends on where you're headed. Gonna have to research that one on your own, bud.

3. Single. The international model has dual-SIM though.
