Please elaborate OP? Are you saying they'll accept a $699 offer?

I'm just going to say it. This site seems shady, and there's no mention of "greentoe" on Sigma's list of authorized online sites [sigmaphoto.com].

Greentoe is legit. They source from authorized dealers and you get a receipt with full USA warranty. Greentoe is a middleman, not a direct retailer. I've been buying from them for years and have even used my warranty for various Panasonic/Sony products (A lot of my stuff tends to break, unfortunately).

cpw has similar street price, maybe easier to deal with when you need warranty service. It will directly come from authorized dealer.

GreenToe is not a retailer and have no actual stock. They are a middleman company that just places your order for you and charges the vendor a small finder's fee. It usually ships directly from Beach Camera or Amazon.

They do have shady marketing practices though. They often pay Slickdeals staff to post deals on their behalf and use a lot of fake accounts to give themselves positive reviews on here.

Have this lens. Is awesome! Some say even better than the premium ones by Nikon and Canon, which cost $1k more

True, the Sigma 35A was a revelation of a lens, but their latest bunch of Arts, and especially the 40A, are a class above even...

I would not be surprised if a 35 A "II" was introduced soon, probably at 2x that price though, as the street price for the 40A is $1400 (justified or not is subjective, but it "embarrasses" the Zeiss Otus in sharpness consistency).

I had this lens, sold it and bought the 24-35 ART which is great in its own right but man I miss my 35mm ART. Tempted to buy because this lens is fantastic.

I have this lens and it is fantastic. Incredibly sharp and great aperture for a number of uses. Good for family portraits, baby pics, and landscapes, to name a few. The bokeh looks good and many of the best pictures I have came using this lens.

I bought from Greentoe and yes it is a legit site and yes you get a receipt from an authorized retailer (not Greentoe).

Great lens, was my first Sigma lens. Colors rendering is a bit different compare to my Pentax lenses. But 699 is not a good deal. I believe BH or Adorama have them around 600-650 on sale, which is when I got it.

Too bad Sigma don't make more of these ART series lenses in K mount. Would have wanted the 50mm.

Thinking about getting this to pair with my Sony fe 85mm/1.8. how does it compare in autofocus speed and accuracy?

I wish they had this on the 50mm 1.4 Art. Sadly, that is $839 through Greentoe. (Probably from B&H.)

anybody knows how to get a 50mm 1.4 Art with a nice discount?

Re Greentoe, they are VERY LEGIT. Not sure why some of you above are poo-pooing them. I have bought six items through them over the past 1.5 years, spending c. $6K. Never an issue. The only thing is, if you do need to get a refund on something, that's not as easy as at B&H. But if the item is defective, they will arrange that. Just make sure you buy stuff through them that you really want to keep. Otherwise they are VERY LEGIT. I will keep buying stuff through them. even recommended them to my friends. You can typically get 10-15% off of the advertised retail price. Not bad at all.

B&H had it on sale for $749 plus $50 coupon which brought it down to $699. Thats the lowest I've seen and thats when I bought it.
