FYI - recall seeing this or a similar ( maybe 1080P ) deal before, search SD for ezviz

note - in general imho a 4 port is too few ports for most situations, recommend minimum of a 8 port NVR / PoE switch

Price is good for a 4-camera Hikvision kit although usually there's no much difference from 1080p to 3MP.

I upgraded to a 8 port analog SD /HD system after getting my first cheap sd setup because it was hard to even make out faces or read license plates even in my driveway. 8 ports and proper 1080p HD gives me very clear videos and the option to ad more cameras as needed. I'm running 4 now and could ad a few more just to cover everything I want to keep track of. I should have went HD from the start but first unit was under 100 with 4 cameras so I could see if I found it useful before deciding to spend a bunch more. I think if you have a basic setup 4 cameras is probably fine but always nice to have options.

Absolutely true.
Unless the deal is very cheap or for some reason, you need multiple 4 camera units with a single recorder (Site related condition or better security to conceal multiple devices) no one should look into a 4 channel recorder as that is too small for any application and soon you want to up grade to at least an 8 channel system. Though I am not firm on NVR (Though definitely prefer it) but currently many DVR are capable of high rez recording with satisfactory ID recovery from footage, unlike the old analog. And POE is not a deal breaker, IMO, as long as deal is right.
