Fifty cents cheaper than the previous post and from a more reliable seller.

1st - You need a hub: SmartThings, Echo PLUS, Wink 2 or other compatible ZigBee hub. If you don't know if your's is compatible, Google your "hub and ZigBee"

2nd - If you don't have a hub this site and try to find a deal on an ADT SmartThings hub, regular Smarthings hub or search Amazon for this starter kit ( SYLVANIA 71932 SW Zigbee Starter Kit ). It is the same bulb but it includes a hub, but your better off just buying a SmartThings hub as it is more universal.

These are pretty awesome. I bought them early Feb when they were 4/$20. Grabbed another 4 now. I use them with an ADT SmartThings hub flawlessly.

Got 2 sets. Thanks. These aren't quite as handy as hue bulbs if you already have quite a few hue cuz it's a separate app if you need to control them manually etc....but these are going to be perfect for totally automated things like front door lights, front garage lights, and stuff like that.

That being said they'll still work in alexa routines through smartthings. Just more annoying to control manually than hue.

I thought you needed adt for that hub. Did that change or was I wrong?

No need for ADT professional monitoring service, it's optional. I haven't activated it since buying the hub, I just self monitor the security sensors (motion and door/window) and use other features like these bulbs, etc. like any other SmartThings hub.

These are my favorite smart bulbs. Good color and reliable connection. Other brands have communication problems in my old house. I have these lights connected to a SmartThings paired with Alexa. I just ordered 2 packs. At that price they are almost the cost of regular LED bulbs.

Bought a pack of 4 for $19.99 a while back. Works much reliable than 'seng' 'led' bulb. Highly recommended.

I've read that some lightify bulbs work with Hue and others don't. Any chance these ones do? I just like having them all work with the Hue scenes and having all my bulbs in one place.

Can you tell me why you need to automate lights beside using them for perimeter from dusk to dawn? For the life of me, I just don't see why someone needs so many automated lights. Maybe you left a room and forgot to turn it off and you tell alexa to turn it off?

Making your house look lived in while you're away on vacation, no fumbling for a light switch in the dark, turn on all lights as you arrive home at night, turn off all lights at once as you head for bed, etc.
