EDIT:
The primary deal I posted is dead however there are still discounted prices on the new iPad Pros!

Best Buy is running some good specials on open box items - even the new iPad Pros. I just picked up a 10.5" (2017) model w/ 256GB WiFi + Cellular for just 483.99 + tax and free shipping! I opted for the in-store pickup option.. .

The iPad is in perfect condition and still has the mfg warranty until November. I purchased this with my AMEX... so I get the extended the warranty and they're offering double points for online purchases at Best Buy (opt-in AMEX offer). 1% CB at Eb8s as well.

Hope this helps someone else snag a good deal!

For those looking for the latest iPad Pro (scroll down to "buying options"): Apple - 12.9-Inch iPad Pro (Latest Model) with Wi-Fi - 64GB - Silver (Open-Box Excellent) - $738.99

OR click the link below and navigate to the tablet deals. You can search "iPad Pro" or "iPad Air" but make sure it's still filtering by open box items. You might be able to snag a better value on another iPad model - whatever suits your needs.

I didn't think Amex warranties applied to open box / refurb items? Is this something new?

These are return items from a recent 1 day sale best buy ran. Many buyers might have overlooked that it wad older generation and bought it only to realize after they unpacked.

Good deal if you are looking for a powerful ipad but willing to compromise on not getting the latest

If you are not in urgency to buy, I would recommend to wait till later and best buy for sure would put up deals again

Dang..recently bought a 256GB WiFi only one from the Apple Refurb store for around $600. What's the manufacturing date on yours? You can check here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenser...model.html

I read the terms and don't see anything that specifically states open box or similar items are excluded from being covered.

My last open box I managed to add applecare. They told me no. But I didn't listen and kept pushing me way up the support line while being extremely respectful. Eventually someone granted my request to take the payment.

I know with excellent certified there's no issue adding applecare, what condition open box did you purchase?

I suppose there is the possibility of getting one that has passed the mfg warranty. However, I assume most of these will have some warranty left over. I don't think I'd buy anything below Best Buy's open box "Excellent" tier.

I was told by the Best Buy rep they have the standard (15 day) return policy.
