Promo code and price seems to be for the DDR4-3000. At least for me it does not work for the DDR4-3200 which costs $210.

3000 CL 15, 3200 CL 16 - roughly same in actual latency.

So-So deal if you need it now, better than nothing anyways.

I wish these summaries would list pin count otherwise have to click-through to find out for sure it's 288 pin. You can also tell by the pic, but you should not trust that part.

How many pins did you expect for DDR4 desktop memory?

Not really. Ram speed wasn't that important for Intel.

Why did you assume it was desktop memory?

Laptop memory typically has "SO-DIMM" in the description.

Yes if you overclock. Ignore the other guys comment he doesn't have to system I run a 7800x and same as you it has the mesh architecture you need to OC the mesh to 3000 or 3200 to see the benefits which would be doable if you run 4.2all core or less with heavy cooling. I use 4.6 n 3200 mesh but only 6/12t run 58c on full avx load. 52 in gaming

Common sense. It would be indicated otherwise...e.g., SODIMM, laptop memory.
