Apple isn't the only digital film site selling Field of Dreams in 4K. It's also getting a 4K Blu-Ray release next month. To top it off, you're bragging about stealing the film.

Needlessly cynical and ignorant. Well done.

It was shot on 35mm film. A 35mm negative can easily be transferred to 4K digital.

This question gets asked every time an older movie has a 4k version on sale.

We really need to start getting people to use Google, it's a wonderful search engine and should not be kept a secret.

Because apple says it is and they would not lie.
And a good movie but the 1080p torrent I have seems great.

Picked this up on Fandango a little while ago. The picture quality, at least on Fandango, is terrible. Definitely not reference material.

I wonder if this will the same transfer as the 4K blu next month, or maybe it will be upgraded on release?

You could apply that same idea to countless ignorant comments and lazy questions on SD. One can only dream that someday a pocketable, mass-market device will be developed with always-on, instant access to Google and the rest of the internet.

Is the version you got on Fandango in 4K and if so how long ago was it?

That's because you can buy it in 4K now for $5 but it can't be streamed in 4K until after the release next month I believe. Or at least that's what Fandango is doing it appears. You didn't watch it in 4K. :-) I know this because I watched it yesterday on my OLED and noticed it said that I have the 4K version but 4K wasn't available to be streamed yet (this was on Movies Anywhere purchased through Fandango).
