Look into ssd USB c if you are getting newer high end camera. Some will let you save via USB c.

I'd assume it's like a windows bootable flash drive. I did mine like that for a few days since I got lazy to move the drive boot order lol

USB 3.1 gen 2 has 10Gbps speed which equals to 1.25 GB/s, while this external ssd can only do 500/480 MB/s I/O. That means the ssd inside should be a sata drive instead of nvme.

I think it might be better to separately buy a m.2 nvme drive (1TB for $125 and 512GB for $70 in the previous sabrent deal) and a usb 3.1 gen 2 enclosure ($30-$40), that can give around 1GB/s I/O performance.
